The intense movement and feeling of the northern lights captured in Fort McMurray Alberta. Bold colors rippling across the sky, truly a beautiful experience. Northern lights or Aurora borealis are the photographer's dream to capture and really enchanting to see in the dark cold nights of winter in Alberta.
This image was taken from my backyard on one of the brightest, most magical evenings i have experienced. Travellers flock to Alberta, Alaska and the northern territories just hoping to experience the energy and beauty of the lights.

Nice capture! I wish I had photographed more of these when I lived in Norther Alberta in the 80's. Did get a few on a -38 F had a Canon AE1 at the time remember having a time advancing the frozen film!

A lovely shot Alanna, you are fortunate to be able to see the lights, but it probably means standing out for hours on a cold night to take the picture.
